01

Controller and scope

This policy applies to the Camera Eye Android application and cameraeye.xyz. The developer or publisher identified in the Google Play listing is responsible for processing carried out by Camera Eye. Your Android device, Google Play, and third-party applications process data under their own policies.

02

Data we process

When you start a capture, the app accesses the camera and, where needed, the microphone. Photos, videos, and audio files remain on your device. Language, theme, capture preferences, quality and FPS selection, daily usage counters, the media index, and a salted one-way PIN verification value are processed locally.

For subscriptions or trials, the Google Play purchase token is sent to our verification API over HTTPS. The server stores a SHA-256 hash of the token together with product, plan, subscription state, expiry, renewal, and verification timestamps. The raw token is not stored in the database.

Security and operational logs may process limited technical information such as IP address, request time and path, user agent, and error metadata. We do not intentionally log purchase tokens. We do not collect an app account, name, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifier.

03

Purposes and legal basis

Local data is used to perform requested captures, display your archive, apply preferences, and protect the app with a PIN. Subscription data is used to verify purchases, manage Premium access, prevent fraud, and apply payment-state changes. Technical logs support security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Processing relies on providing the requested service, legitimate security interests, and permission or consent where required by applicable law.

04

Camera, microphone, and device permissions

Camera permission supports photos and video; microphone permission supports video sound and audio recording. Notification and foreground-service permissions keep active background recording visible and controllable. On older Android versions, storage permission is used only when you request a gallery copy. You can revoke permissions in Android settings, though related features may stop working.

05

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell media or local settings or use them for advertising. Subscription information is processed between our verification infrastructure and Google Play. Hosting providers may receive limited access to technical data solely to operate the service and under appropriate security obligations.

Content you intentionally export is governed by the recipient's terms. Google Play independently processes payment, store, account, and device data under its own privacy policy.

06

Retention and deletion

Recordings and local technical data remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Gallery copies must be deleted separately. We do not store your media or an application account on our servers. Subscription verification records are retained only as needed for payment disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations; technical logs are retained for a limited period necessary for security and operations.

07

Security

App files are kept in Android app-specific storage. The PIN itself is not retained; a salted one-way verification value is used. Subscription traffic uses HTTPS, and only a one-way purchase-token hash is stored persistently. No device, transmission, or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

08

Your choices and rights

You may revoke permissions, delete recordings, clear app data, manage the subscription through Google Play, or uninstall the app. Most local-data controls are available directly on your device. For subscription verification records, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or object where provided by the GDPR, Turkish KVKK, and other applicable laws.

09

Children

Camera Eye is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Anyone requiring parental or guardian authorization under applicable law should use the app only with that authorization and supervision.

10

Your responsibility when recording

Camera and microphone recording may be governed by privacy, personality-rights, employment, or criminal laws depending on your location and the people recorded. You are responsible for using the app lawfully, providing notices, obtaining permissions, keeping recording indicators visible, and respecting third-party rights.

11

Website, cookies, and analytics

cameraeye.xyz currently uses no cookies, advertising pixels, or visitor analytics. For security and operation, the web server may retain standard access data such as IP address, request time, requested page, and user agent for a limited period. External links are governed by the destination site's policy.

12

Changes

We will update this policy and its effective date if our data practices change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel before taking effect, and additional permission or consent will be requested where required.

13
